1 Copyright 2023 Marline E. Pearson My Relationship Vision Everyone needs a vision of the kind of relationship they want. Imagine your life 5 or 10 years from now. You’ve graduated high school, you may be in college or working, you live in a nice place, have the resources you need, and spend time the way you want. If you have a child, your child is doing well. Now, focus on your love life. If you could have it exactly the way you want it to be, what would it look like? What is your partner like? What are you like together? Write a few statements about what you can imagine. Start your statements with an I, we, he, she, or my partner. Examples: We have fun doing things together we share values, and both have goals she’s my rock—encourages and supports me to be the best I can be we make each other laugh, and we can talk about anything we don’t cheat or lie to each other I have someone who’s going to be there for the baby and me.
